La Morada Club, nominee for the 2021 World Open Water Swimming Product of the Year Award

La Morada Club is a creative island accommodations in eastern Argentina where open water swimming, river kayaking, and stand up paddling can be enjoyed in a tranquil delta biosphere reserve. The club is located north of Buenos Aires near the Uruguay border with Argentina. Full room and board are available for those active nature lovers.

Founder[edit]

Lucas Rivet, filmmaker and governing body director, runs La Morada Club.

Coaching[edit]

On the open water swimming side, coaching is provided by Esther Nuñez Morera, an Honor Swimmer in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame.

Courses[edit]

There are two unique river delta courses of 12.5 km and 15.5 km available. The courses can be swum with the current or against the current, with the wind in your favor, and with the wind against you. The first person to complete the 12.5 km course was Vanina Guntero in 4 hours 46 minutes on October 10th 2021 with a wetsuit. The 15.5 course has yet to be completed as of December 2021.
