Corrie Dixon
Corrie Dixon (née Corrie Ebelaar) is a Dutch open water swimmer and channel swimming coach.

Open Water Swimming Career Highlights
- On 5 September 5 1971, she completed a crossing of the English Channel from England to France in 10 hours 43 minutes at the age of 22, she broke Greta Andersen's record by 18 minutes.
- On 5 August 1973, she completed the 32 km Traversée internationale du lac St-Jean in Quebec, Canada in 9 hours 2 minutes 39 seconds.
- On 4 August 1974, she completed the 32 km Traversée internationale du lac St-Jean in Quebec, Canada in 9 hours 54 minutes 41 seconds.
- In 1971, she completed a crossing between Robben Island and Three Anchor Bay in South Africa in a record time.
- In 1973 was the women’s world marathon swimming champion.
- In 1974, she was ranked third behind Americans Diana Nyad and Sandra Bucha and later moved to Dover, England with her husband Ray Dixon in 1974.
- She and Ray Dixon acted as swimming coaches to Dover Lifeguard Club before focusing on open water swimming for Dover swimmers, but also those who came from far and wide to attempt the English Channel.
Coaching Career Highlights
- 1981: England-France relay (average age of the team 15) in 7 hours 17 minutes, a world record
- 1982: Richard Charlesworth from France to England in 8 hours 52 minutes, a world record
- 1984: Lyndon Dunsbee from France to England in 8 hours 17 minutes, a world record
- 1988: Richard Davey from France to England in 8 hours 5 minutes, a world record
- Throughout the 1980's, Corrie-coached Dover swimmers dominated British Long Distance Swimming Association events, setting records from Brighton to Loch Lomond as they formed the core of the British Long Distance Swimming Team.
- Lyndon Dunsbee and Bridget Young, who were both inducted into the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame in 1988.
- She helped developed the Queen of the Channel Alison Streeter’s early career and other British swimmer including Justin Palfrey.
