Arleen González Perez is a 40-year-old Mexican pool and open water swimmer from Mexico City who has achieved the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming and two Oceans Seven channels.

Open Water Swimming Career

• She completed a 45.9 km circumnavigation swim around Manhattan Island in 2015.
• She has competed in numerous World Master and National Championship events.
• She completed the 45.9 km 20 Bridges Swim in New York City on 1 October 2016 in 8 hours 16 minutes.
• She crossed the 32.3 km Catalina Channel on 12 June 2016 in 12 hours 48 minutes.
• She completed a 33.5 km crossing of the English Channel in 14 hours 44 minutes.
• Between 25-28 April 2018, she completed all four stage swims of the SCAR Swim Challenge in Arizona (9.5-mile or 15.2 km Saguaro Lake + 9-mile or 14.4 km Canyon Lake + 16-mile or 26.4 km Apache Lake + 6.2-mile or 10 km Roosevelt Lake), finishing 28th overall at the age of 46 in a cumulative time of 21 hours 15 minutes 51.9 seconds.
• On 8 August 2019, she completed a 35 km crossing of the North Channel from Northern Ireland to Scotland in 12 hours 53 minutes 59 seconds.
• She co-founded the Open Water Swimming Mexican Association or the Asociación Mexicana de Aguas Abiertas or AMEXAA with Nora Toledano and Fernando Morthera.
• On 13 August 2022, she attempted a two-way Loch Ness crossing, but after more than 24 hours in the water, the swim was aborted approximately 2 miles from the end of the first length.
• On 21 August 2022 8 days after her two-way Loch Ness attempt, she completed a one-way Loch Ness crossing in approximately 14 hours 30 minutes with escort pilot Loch Swim Alba.
• On 8 August 2019, she completed a 35 km crossing of the North Channel from Northern Ireland to Scotland in 12 hours 53 minutes 59 seconds.
• On 19 July 2022, she completed a 14.4 km crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar from Spain to Morocco in 4 hours 58 minutes 0 seconds
