Mayank Vaid is an Indian triathlete and open water swimmer and a Hong Kong-based intellectual property lawyer.

Ultra running / triathlon Highlights

• He completed Enduroman Arch2Arc in 2019 in 50 hours and 24 minutes (#44).
• He finished Hong Kong 4 Trails Ultra Challenge in 2024 in 59 hours, 43 minutes and 40 seconds.

Open Water Swimming Highlights

• He finished 7th in the 15 km Cold Half in January 2019 in 5 hours 2 minutes 28 seconds.
• On 21 November 2019, his attempt the 45 km HK360 Swim together with Daniel Vanderhave was postponed.
• He completed the first HK360Xtreme Challenge, a 360 km triple circumnavigation triathlon around Hong Kong Island between 6-7 November 2020 that included an 18 hour 17 minute HK360 circumnavigation swim around Hong Kong Island.
• On 27 October 2021, he started after 2 am at the Sai Wan Swimming Shed and completed a full clockwise circumnavigation swim around Hong Kong Island at 4:38 pm, finishing in 14 hours 35 minutes 55 seconds.
• He finished 23rd in the 15 km Cold Half Extreme Swim around Hong Kong Island in 2021.

HK360Xtreme Challenge

• The HK360Xtreme Challenge is an extreme 360 km triple circumnavigation triathlon around Hong Kong Island. It includes a 45 km swimming circumnavigation of Hong Kong Island, then a 215 km cycling circumnavigation of Hong Kong Island and New Territories, and then a 100 km running circumnavigation of Hong Kong Island for a total distance of 360 km. Athletes can decided how they want to arrange their rest stops, sleeps and transitions.
• On 6 November 2020 at 1:15 am, Vaid set off on his 45 km swim leg and finished 70 hours 19 minutes 53 seconds later at 11:45:34 pm on 7 November 2020.

2020 WOWSA Awards

The HK360Xtreme Challenge by Mayank Vaid was nominated for the 2020 WOWSA Awards in the World Open Water Swimming Performance of the Year category with the following nomination: Mayank Vaid works as an intellectual property lawyer in Hong Kong, but the Indian triathlete wanted to do something unique and special in and around Hong Kong. Working with the renowned Shu Pu, he trained for the 45 km HK360Swim, but the circumnavigation swim around Hong Kong was postponed. Nearly a year later due to the COVID-19 pandemic and his newest plans, he started and completed the HK360Swim in 18 hours 8 minutes, that took him longer than expected. But he continued on because his goal was the 360 km HK360Xtreme Challenge that required him to dry off, hop on his bicycle and cycle 215 km around Hong Kong Island and New Territories, and then run 100 km around Hong Kong. 70 hours 19 minutes later after a series of unexpected adventures and physical challenges, Vaid ultimately completed his goal. For his tenacity and patience in training, planning and executing the first massive triathlon literally around Hong Kong Island, for tackling his first major marathon swim and then carrying on for a total of 70 hours 19 minutes, and for working well with Mercedes Benz and a slew of sponsors and support staff, the HK360Xtreme Challenge by Mayank Vaid of India is a worthy nominee for the 2020 World Open Water Swimming Performance of the Year.​
