FINA Delegate
noun - A FINA delegate is a designated representative of FINA who is a member of the Technical Open Water Swimming Committee (TOWSC), FINA Coaches Commission, FINA Sports Medicine Committee, and other committees of FINA (Fédération Internationale de Natation Amateur).
FINA is the international governing body of swimming, water polo, diving, synchronized swimming and open water swimming, recognized by the International Olympic Committee for administering international aquatic competitions. It was founded in 1908 and is run by the FINA Bureau and is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland with Cornel Marculescu as its long-time Executive Director. Its open water swimming discipline is officiated by members of the FINA Technical Open Water Swimming Committee (or TOWSC).
