Mark Baker is an active triathlete and father of 3 swimmers from Honolulu. He crossed the Maui Channel in 2009 and also spearheaded the first Aulea Swim Club Au'au Channel group solo crossing between Lanai and Maui in 2011 and 2012.
On 23 November 2012, he crossed the Au'au Channel together with Josh Bittick, Eric Compton, Celia Compton, Jaek Horner, Cameron Lyon, Nicholas Zachmeier, Skylar Webb, Van Cornwell, Katie DeMieri, and Alex Webb.
