Locarno Beach

Locarno Beach is one of the beaches that line English Bay in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. It is situated in the West Point Grey neighbourhood, between Jericho Beach and the Spanish Banks beaches. It was named after the Swiss city where a peace treaty was signed in 1925.
Open Water Swimming
The Around The Bay Challenge is Vancouver’s only 10 km marathon swimming race and British Columbia’s only ocean 10 km swim, organized by the Vancouver Open Water Swimming Association, that starts from Locarno Beach and goes to Kitsilano Beach to Ferguson Point (Stanley Park) back to Locarno Beach. It has a 4 hour 15 minute time limit.
