John Derr is an American pool and open water swimmer from Oxnard, California who represents the Ventura County Masters Swim Team.

- At the age of 50, he who completed a 14.1 km crossing of the Maui Channel (Auau Channel) between Lānaʻi and Maui in 1999 (swimmer #80).
- At the age of 60, he who completed a 14.1 km crossing of the Maui Channel (Auau Channel) between Lānaʻi and Maui in 2009 (swimmer #232).
- At the age of 70, he who completed a 14.1 km crossing of the Maui Channel (Auau Channel) between Lānaʻi and Maui in 2019 in 5 hours 56 minutes 11 seconds.
