Farallones grease

noun - Farallones grease is a home-made skin ointment made of marine-bearing grease mixed with graphite, as a shark repellent, applied over a base layer of wintergreen oil, developed by Stewart Evans for his 1967 channel crossing from the Farallon Islands to Bolinas on the California mainland as a means to ward off Great White Sharks.
