noun - DQ or Disqualification means to be ruled ineligible due to a violation of rules or provisions. It can be due to ziplining or elbowing. In the sport of open water swimming, a swimmer is disqualified by showing a Red Card (or red flag) during the competition.

Usage

The swimmer was DQ'ed for pulling on the other swimmer's legs during the race.
