Olivia Martin McGuire is an Australian documentary filmmaker and photographer based in Hong Kong. She directed the documentary film Freedom Swim and a feature film documentary, ChinaLove, for ABC Arts, which premiered at the Sydney Film Festival and internationally at DOCNYC, funded by Screen Australia.

Freedom Swimmer is a 15-minute documentary film about a man’s story of his perilous swim from China to Hong Kong during the Cultural Revolution. The hybrid, poetic documentary interweaves hand-drawn animation and film.
