The Little Red Lighthouse Swim was one of the longest marathon swims in the world and is one of the World's Top 100 Open Water Swims. The 10.2 km Little Red Lighthouse Swim was formerly held in the fast-moving Hudson River in New York City, parallel to Manhattan Island in September or October. Swimmers are set off in heats based on their speed.
