Leopard Swim
From Openwaterpedia
The Leopard Swim is a 4 km river swim across the Mandovi River from the Aguada Hill to the Miramar Beach, organized by the Goa Open Water Swimming Club.
Origin
As the urban legend goes, once upon a time a leopard swam across the Mandovi River channel from the Aguada Hill to the Miramar Beach, and was eventually taken away by the forest department.
Location
The Mandovi or Mahadayi, formerly known as the Rio de Goa, is a river described as the lifeline of the Indian state of Goa. The Mandovi and the Zuari are the two principal rivers in the state of Goa. The Mandovi joins with the Zuari at a common creek at Cabo Aguada, forming the Mormugao harbour.
