Daniel 'Dan' Hayward Veatch is an Olympic competitive swimmer who graduated from Princeton University.

- He specialized in backstroke, finishing seventh in the 200-meter backstroke at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games.
- He won the gold medal in the 200-meter backstroke at the 1987 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Brisbane.
- He won the gold medal in the 1989 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Tokyo.
- He pulled his hamstring just before the USA Swimming Olympic Trials for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and so missed those Games.
