The Damme-Brugge Open Water Swim has been conducted more than 100 times over the past century and is the oldest continuously held open water swimming competition in the world. It is one of the World's Top 100 Open Water Swims and was nominated for the 2010 World Open Water Swimming Performance of the Year.
