Alexandra Paul is an actress, activist and endurance athlete who also has completed several open water swims and a few marathon swims. She has starred in over 75 films and television programs. The open water swimmer also starred as Lt. Stephanie Holden in the television series Baywatch.

Acting

Paul began her acting career at 18 in Paper Dolls and in the Warner Bros. motion picture American Flyers opposite Kevin Costner, Dragnet opposite Tom Hanks and Dan Ackroyd, Eight Million Ways to Die opposite Jeff Bridges & Andy Garcia, Stephen King’s Christine, Spyhard with Leslie Nielsen and two films opposite Pierce Brosnan.

More recently, Paul starred in Christmas Split and No One To Blame. In 2009, she starred in The Boy She Met Online and co-starred in A Beer Tale. In 2008, it was Tru Loved, A Date With Murder, Family Of Four, A Sister's Secret and Christmas Crash. She guest starred in the Emmy-nominated series, Mad Men, and co-starred in Javelina. Paul is also featured in Who Killed The Electric Car and hosted the extreme sports series Wild Waters on the Outdoor Life Network and Winning Women as well as Earth Talk Today.

Activism

Paul was honored by the ACLU of Southern California as their ’2005 Activist of the Year’ for her long history of fighting for the environment, voting rights and peace issues. In 1997 the United Nations commended she for her environmental activism. In 1999, she won the International Green Cross award. She walked across America for over five weeks on The Great Peace March for Global Nuclear Disarmament, and has been arrested over a dozen times for protesting at the Nevada Nuclear Test Site.

Personal

Paul has been driving electric cars since 1990. She is a vegan and will not use any products tested on animals. She has traveled to Nicaragua with a medical aid group, to Lousiana to help animals after Hurricane Katrina, to South Africa to register voters and to Sierra Leone to promote family planning. She is also a certified EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), has been registering voters once a week for 15 years and speaks fluent French. She is married to triathlon coach Ian Murray.

Endurance Sports

In 1997, Paul completed the World Ironman Triathlon Championships in 13 hours 18 minutes. She is coached by triathlon coach Ian Murray.

Open Water Swims

2003: 6.2-mile ocean swim off the coast of Bonaire in the Dutch Antilles
2006: 9.6 miles in the Maui Channel Swim from the island of Lanai to the island of Maui in Hawaii
2009: 11-mile ocean swim race from Denarau Island to Beachcomber Island in Fiji
2012: 12.5-mile FKCC Swim Around Key West in Florida
