Swimmers of What Relay?, How Do I Get On That Relay? and I Don’t Know What You Are Talking About as part of the Triple Relay Extravaganza across the Catalina Channel
is a Catalina Channel relay included Carol Sing (Team Captain), Tom Cook, Tom Hecker, Steve Green, Ivanka Gavanski, Grace van der Byl, and Lynn Kubasek. The relay is part of the Triple Relay Extravaganza, a tandem swim of three separate six-person relay teams across the Catalina Channel. The 21 swimmers completed their 20.2-mile Catalina Channel crossing in 10 hours 24 minutes.
Tandem Relays[edit]
The tandem relay teams included the following teams with Barbara Held and Jodi DiLascio as observers:
- I Don’t Know What You Are Talking About included Will Newbern (Team Captain), Gary Workman, Andy Hewitt, Steve Coopersmith, Penny Nagel, and Robert Philipson
- How Do I Get On That Relay? included Sunny Lovell (Team Captain), Sean Durkin, Carol Hayden, Berke Cetinorneri, Sabrina Buselt, and Cat Moore
- What Relay? included Carol Sing (Team Captain), Tom Cook, Tom Hecker, Steve Green, Ivanka Gavanski, Grace van der Byl, and Lynn Kubasek
