Swimmathon

Swimmathon, an initiative by Square Off Sports, is an open water swimming and pool swimming event, promotion and campaign recognised by the Swimming Federation of India with the Goa Swimming Association as its technical partner.
Swimmathon was launched in 2012 and was recognised by the Swimming Federation of India as the official national selection trials for international FINA swimming events. It is the only open water swim in India accredited by the Swimming Federation of India, organised under the auspices of FINA rules and regulations. Until 2014, Swimmathon was held in Mumbai, after which the event has moved to Colva Beach in Goa, India.

Race Director & Ambassador
- Swimmathon race director: Pradeep Kumar, the Indian national swimming coach and recipient of the Dronacharya Award.
- Swimmathon brand ambassador: Virdhawal Khade, the youngest Indian athlete to qualify for the Olympic Games and an Arjuna Award recipient.
Distances
The following races with over 1,500 competitors will be held on 3 December 2017:
- 10 km swimmathon for men and women over 14 years old
- 5 km swimmathon for men and women over 14 years old
- 2.5 km fun/fitness swim for boys and girls under 14 years old, 14+ men and women, 35+ years men and women
- 1 km dream swim for boys and girls under 14 years old, 14+ men and women, 35+ years men and women
Swimmathon by Delphinus
Swimmathon Relay was a 286 km (177.7 miles) circumnavigation swim around the city of Mumbai, India by Delphinus in 49 hours 44 minutes.
