Dis-Chem Sun City Open Water Swim is an annual open water swimming event held in North West Province in Gauteng, South Africa and one of Africa's Top 100 Open Water Swims, organized by In Motion Africa.

The Sun City Swim was started in 1998 by a committee of open water swimmers from Gauteng Masters Swimming. Many of the members of the first organizing committee are still involved today in organizing and helping to run the event. The first swim attracted 173 swimmers swimming 2 laps of a 750m course and has grown each year. In 2013, 3,297 swimmers participated. In 2014, 3,196 entrants participated.

In Motion Africa[edit]

In 2008, In Motion Africa became involved in the event management of the Dis-Chem Sun City Swim. It's the vision of In Motion Africa to grow and support the sport of open water swimming in South Africa.
