Scandinavian Winter Swimming Championships


Scandinavian Winter Swimming Championships (or the Skellefteå Dark & Cold) is a winter swimming event held in Skellefteå, Sweden under the auspices of the International Winter Swimming Association in February. It is a sanctioned World Cup event.
International Winter Swimming Association World Cup Series[edit]
The 5th Scandinavian Winter Swimming Championships is held on 13-14 February 2016 and is part of the International Winter Swimming Association World Cup and the Scandinavian Winter Swimming Cup series. IWSA World Cup events take place on 7 November in Jelgava, Latvia, 6-7 February in Windermere, England, 27 February in Tallinn, Estonia, and 8-12 March in Tyumen, Russia.
Skellefteå[edit]
Skellefteå is a city and the seat of Skellefteå Municipality in Västerbotten County, Sweden, with approximately 72,000 inhabitants at the end of 2013.
