Rob Muffels

Rob Frederik Muffels (born 8 December 1994) is a 26-year-old professional open water swimmer from Germany. He is coached by Bernd Berkhahn.

- He finished 3rd in the 10 km Oceanman World Final in Crete, Greece on 29 October 2022.
- He was the 5 km champion at the 2011 European Junior Open Water Swimming Championships at Navia, Spain.
- He won the 2011 LEN Cup 10 km championships in Hoorn, Netherlands finishing in 2 hours 1 minute 1.29 seconds.
- He finished fourth overall in the 2013 LEN (Ligue Européenne de Natation) Cup.
- He won the 5 km team pursuit race at the 2015 FINA World Championships in Kazan, Russia with Christian Reichert and Isabelle Harle
- He was second in the 5 km race at the 2015 FINA World Championships in Kazan, Russia
- He finished second with Finnia Wunram and Andreas Waschburger in the 5 km team time trial at the 2016 European Open Water Swimming Championships in Hoorn, Netherlands
- He competed in the 10 km marathon swim at the 2017 FINA World Swimming Championships in Lake Balaton, Hungary.
- He won the FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup race in Hong Kong on 21 October 2017.
- He finished 5th overall in the 2017 FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup professional marathon swimming circuit.
- He finished third in the FINA/HOSA Marathon Swim World Series race on Beau Vallon Beach, Mahé, Seychelles on 20 May 2018.
- On 7 August 2018, he finished 4th in the 5 km European Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.
- He finished 3rd in the 10 km marathon swim at the 2018 European Championships in Loch Lomond, Scotland on 9 August 2018.
- He finished 2nd in the FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup in Qiandao Lake, Chun'an, China on 16 September 2018.
- On 18 July 2019, Soeren Meissner, Sarah Koehler, Lea Boy, and Rob Muffels won the 5 km Mixed Relay race at the 2019 FINA World Championships in 53:58.70 in Gwangju, South Korea.
- On 15 February 2020, he finished 2nd in the FINA/CNSG Marathon Swim World Series in Doha, Qatar.
- He qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Olympic 10K Marathon Swim by finishing third in 2019 FINA World Swimming Championships 10 km marathon swim held in Yeosu EXPO Ocean Park in Gwangju, South Korea on 15 July 2019 in 1:47:57.40.
- On 5 August 2021, he finished 11th in the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim in Odaiba Marine Park in Tokyo Bay at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
