Redondo Beach Coastal Challenge


The Redondo Beach Coastal Challenge is a 2-day open water swimming festival held in Redondo Beach in Southern California.
The festival includes several ocean coastal swims along the shoreline of Redondo Beach and the Palos Verdes Peninsula in October. The event also hosts the 2019 Open Water Summit with luminaries of the sport giving various presentations, a celebration of Guinness World Records holders in the open water swimming community presented by Guinness World Records, and the annual WOWSA Awards sponsored by the World Open Water Swimming Association.

- Ion Lazarenco Tiron of Republic of Moldava, World Open Water Swimming Man of the Year, a 2019 Nobel Peace Prize nominee
- Aleksandra Bednarek of Poland, World Open Water Swimming Woman of the Year, a renowned ice swimmer
- Great British Swim by Ross Edgley, World Open Water Swimming Performance of the Year
- Icebears Hintertux by Josef Köberl, World Open Water Swimming Offering of the Year
