Pedro Ordenes of Water World Swim is a renowned cold water swimmer, coach and open water swim organizer from Chile who has lived in Miami, Florida and resides in Mill Valley, California. He runs Water World Swim that organizes many swims and workouts in San Francisco Bay, California
Open Water Swimming
Ordenes has done and organized open water swims around the world including those in San Francisco Bay and the Galápagos Islands. He is the inspiration and instructor of the Swim with Pedro Weekly Workouts.
Among his many cold water accomplishments, Ordenes swam the Strait of Magellan in 1999 in 39°F with 35 mph winds and 3-5 feet swells against 12-14 knot currents. He has done 978 Alcatraz Island crossings to date and a double crossing of the Beagle Channel between Chile and Argentina.
