Paolo Meglio

Paolo Meglio is a marathon swimmer, water polo player, and marathon runner from Italy. He began swimming at the age of 5 and completed six 25 km marathon swims and a 39 km relay between 1979 and 1985. Between 1999 and 2006, he has finished 13 running Marathons and a 50 km running European september 2012 he completed a 24 hour swimming pool Marathon,with a final result of 57,250 kilometers. He attempted the Maratona del Golfo Capri-Napoli on 27 June 2013, but rough conditions led to the race being stopped prematurely,and the ranking was fixed with only four swimmers still in the water. He definitely took third place. In the same year , he completed the Ultra Ebre River 30,3 km Swimming Marathon , in 5h 52'.On 29th july 2017 he completed Corsica-Sardinia channel (Bocche di Bonifacio) crossing, in 4h 23m, and on 30th August achieved double crossing of Messina Strait, in 1h 33 min 01 sec.,at the age of 56, with the fifth time overall.
