Neil Hopkins is a 40-year-old South African open water swimmer from Cape Town.
Open Water Swimming Highlights[edit]
- In May 2022, he completed an Ice Kilometer at the Svalbard Ice Swimming Adventures, held in Svalbard, Norway within the Arctic Circle in -1.00°C water and 0.00°C air temperatures at the age of 40.
- He completed the Swim For Hope, an 8 km ocean swim from Diaz Beach to Buffels Bay around Cape Point in South Africa in 2 hours 17 minutes. It was a charity swim for the Little Fighters Cancer Trust.
- He finished 18th overall in the Ice Kilometer at the 3rd International Ice Swimming Association World Championship held in Murmansk, Russia in March 2019.
