NYC Swim

noun - NYC Swim is the premier organizer of swimming events in the waters around Manhattan Island and in the New York City area. Founded in 1993, it has organized more than 125 swimming races, including the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim. It recognizes frequent participants in its events with the Hudsie Awards (Hudsies).

Mission

  • Host world-class open water events situated around New York City's most recognizable landmarks
  • Support charities like Swim Free that aim to improve the health and well-being of children and adults through swimming
  • Create stakeholders with a vested interest in the local waters

8 June 2013: Manhattan Island Swim (28.5 miles)
22 June 2013: Stars & Stripes: Aquathlon & Swim Aquathlon (Swim 1.5 K / Run 5 K), Swim-Only:(1.5 K)
7 July 2013: Brooklyn Bridge Swim (1 km)
20 July 2013: Governors Island Swim (2.0 miles)
10 August 2013: Manhattan Island Relays (28.5 miles)
16 August 2013: Statue of Liberty Swim (1.2 km)
18 August 2013: Ederle Swim (17.5 miles)
21 September 2013: Little Red Lighthouse Swim (10.2 km)
