Its highly sought-after entries are coveted by marathon swimmers and channel swimmers around the world. As one of the World's Top 100 Open Water Swims, the extraordinarily popular 45.9 km circumnavigation swim around Manhattan Island in New York City never fails to challenge and excite its competitors. It is one leg of the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming and organized by the NYC Swim and occasionally conducts quiet swims.
The Manhattan Island Marathon Swim was named one of America's Top 100 Open Water Swims in 2013 and is one of the World's Top 100 Open Water Swims.
