The 7 km Lombok Straight Fight Hunger Swim in Indonesia was a solo charity swim by Monte Monfore that was part of the 13 May 2007, World Food Program Global Walk the World, an event supporting hungry schoolchildren throughout the world.

Monte Monfore[edit]

Monte Monfore (died 24 October 2017) was a California open water swimmer, former water polo player from the University of California, Berkeley, and a humanitarian who organized and completed charity swims in Asia. He also set a masters swimming world record in the 400m individual medley.
