Open Water Swimming Highlights
- Lars Durban and Eric Durban completed a 32.3 km tandem crossing of the Catalina Channel from the Santa Catalina Island to the Southern California mainland in 13 hours 55 minutes 20 seconds with Jax Cole, Riley Roth, and Mark Longrie with David Sundius, Don Van Cleve, and Patricio Libenson as observers.
- In 2018 Eric and Lars Durban swam the Strait of Gibraltar tandem.
- On 26-29 April 2022, he competed in the SCAR Swim, a 4-day stage swim in Arizona, finishing 10th in a tie with his brother Eric Durban in 20 hours 37 minutes 36.0 seconds.
- On 21 August 2022, he completed a 34.3 km crossing of Lake Tahoe from California to Nevada in 12 hours 44 minutes 20 seconds in a tandem swim with his brother Eric Durban.
