Laguna Beach Aquathon is an 8-mile walk-swim biathlon and charity event along the pristine beaches of Laguna Beach from Emerald Bay to Monarch Beach in Southern California. The non-organized event includes 4 half-mile swims and was informally founded in 1986 by Alan Wolf, Mark Disman, John Heatley and Bailey Smith.

The 27th annual Aquathon is held on 14 September 2014.

Acceptable Equipment[edit]

Swimsuit (required), rubber body wear suggested, Reef Walkers, aquasocks, or other amphibious shoes (required), sunscreen (required- make sure its waterproof), goggles, masks, snorkels optional, fins (optional), Tummy Pack (optional), kickboards (optional).

Charity Event[edit]

The Laguna Beach Aquathon helps raise funds for the Miocean project, (www.miocean.org), a foundation that uses 100% of its donations exclusively on the 42 miles of the Orange County coastline.
