John Trudgen

John Trudgen (1852–1902) was a British swimmer who introduced the trudgen stroke to British society. The trudgen stroke is similar to modern-day freestyle with a scissor kick and was inspired by the swimming style that Trudgen noticed in Argentina from the native peoples in the area.
