Hagerstown Sprint Triathlon - First Blind Completion

Denna Lambert, a legally blind American swimmer from Greenbelt, Maryland, U.S.A. completed the Hagerstown Sprint Triathlon July 12, 2015. She was the first blind competitor ever entered in this event and the only blind athlete to ever complete it. Her training for this event included the Dare2tri Paratriathlon Training Camp 2015 which included a 500 meter open water swim in 20 mph head wind in 48 degree weather (wetsuit). She also practiced Total Immersion pool swim training with her coach Brian Suddeth.
