The Great East Swim is now called the John West Great East Swim held at the Alton Water in Suffolk, England, organised by Nova International, a UK-based company owned by former Olympic runner Brendan Foster.
Distances
Great East Swim is a 0.5-mile, 1-mile, 2-mile, 5 km and 10 km marathon swim held in Ipswich, Suffolk held on 18 June 2016. It also offers a 800m swim + 5 km run in the SwimRun Event.
