Five Cowrie Creek[edit]

The Five Cowrie Creek open water swimming is part of the Lagos State Water Regatta, a water-based cultural sporting and recreational activities in Lagos, Nigeria. The Five Cowrie Creek / Lagos State Water Regatta includes a 1,500m open water swimming competition across a lagoon (Five Cowrie Creeks) in Lagos, Nigeria. The event also includes JetSkiing races, decorated floats and regatta boats from different communities, canoe races, kayak races, and sailing competitions and is organized by Muyiwa Ayo-Vaughn, Head of Operations and Logistics of the Lagos State Water Regatta Committee. Pst. Nseobong Samuel Jesimiel organizes the open water swimming events.
