Fernando Betanzos Tenorio is president of the Nadadores de Quintana Roo who helps organize numerous open water swims in and near Cancun, Mexico, including the Maratón Acuático Ruta del Arrecife in Puerto Morelos, and the FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix and the FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup in Quintana Roo, Mexico.
His son, Fernando Betanzos is a professional marathon swimmer who competes on the 2013 FINA 10KM Marathon Swimming World Cup pro circuit.
