Emperor Go-Yozei of Japan

Emperor Go-Yozei (後陽成天皇) (born 31 December 1571, died 25 September 1617) was the 107th Emperor of Japan who reigned from 1586 to 1611. He organized the first national swimming organization in 1603. Prior to that, Emperor Go-Yozei declared that school children should swim.
