Einav Vered

Einav Vered ­is 42 years old and mother to Ariel (12), Hodaya (9) and Luria (6). She manages the Centre for Cultivation of People with Learning Disabilities which promotes successful learning in students with learning disabilities and is finalizing her doctorate, which is about dealing with family members with learning disabilities. She has been swimming since the age of three both in the sea and in pools, and swims with the Aqvatikim team in open water and in swimming pools.

She is a member of the Six Swimming For Peace distance relay that will swim between Port Said in Egypt and Tel Aviv, Israel.

Six Swimming For Peace Swimmers[edit]

  • Idith Ron -­ 55-year-old grandmother, lives in Beit Herut. Former swimmer with HaPoel Tel Aviv. Currently an Aqvatikim team swimmer in pools and the SAFSAL team swimmer at sea.
  • Vered Ben Herut ­- 48-year-old mother and special education teacher living in Bat Heffer. A social sciences scholar and pool and open water swimmer for 30 years, seven of which have been with the Aquatikim team.
  • Einav Vered ­- 42-year-old mother of 3 and manager of the Centre for Cultivation of People with Learning Disabilities, and a pool and open water swimmer with the Aqvatikim team.
  • Michal Tzohari Shenhar ­- 40-year-old mother of 3 and pool and open water swimmer who graduated from Tel Aviv University in 2000 with a degree in Physiotherapy and later attained a degree in Osteopathy from the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto, Canada.
  • Efrat Aloni - a 51-year-old mother of 2 and a physiotherapist, hydrotherapist and watsu therapist.
  • Limor Barak - a 53-year-old mother of 3
