Duncan Goodhew

Duncan Alexander Goodhew MBE (born 27 May 1957) is a British swimmer, a gold and bronze medalist from the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games, and a renowned swimming ambassador who served on the judges panel at the 2012 H2Open Awards organized by H2Open Magazine, an award designed to celebrate achievement in open water swimming. He swam as a collegian at North Carolina State University. His 100m breaststroke gold medal achievement was ranked 99th in the British network Channel 4's 100 Greatest Sporting Moments in 2002.

Professional Career[edit]

He has made a number of television appearances and is an author and motivational speaker. He was appointed an MBE by Queen Elizabeth II for services to sport. .
