The Deer Creek Open Water Marathon Swim is organized by Jim Hubbard (jim@wadsco.com) and sanctioned by Utah Masters USMS. The event has four races: 1 mile, 5 km, 10 km, and 10 mile marathon swim and is one of America's Top 100 Open Water Swims. It is held in Deer Creek State Park in flat 72°F (22°C) water at 5,400-feet altitude (1,645 meters).

Triple Crown of Utah Open Water Swimming[edit]

The 10-mile Deer Creek Open Water Marathon Swim is part of the Triple Crown of Utah Open Water Swimming together with the 8-mile Great Salt Lake Open Water Marathon Swim and the 7-mile Bear Lake Monster Swim.
