Dean Hawks

Dean Hawks is the race director and race marshall for the Indy Open Water Challenge, a 1- and 2-mile open water swimming competition in Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, Indiana hosted by the Indy Aquatic Masters. He is a pool and open water swimming coach with the Indy Aquatic Masters and has taught first aid, water safety, lifeguard certification, kayaking, water polo, spring board diving, scuba, water games and a plethora of water activities.

Honors

He received the 2017 Kerry O’Brien Coaches Award, an annual award given by U.S. Masters Swimming, named to honor the Walnut Creek Masters (Pacific) coach who embodies the passion, dedication, and heart that USMS coaches bring to the pool deck and open water.
