Daniel Bercu is the founder of the Uberman Triathlon, a self-supported 20.2-mile Catalina Channel crossing (with a wetsuit), followed by a 400-miles bike ride from the Catalina Channel finish through Death Valley in the Southern California desert, then a 135-mile run from Death Valley to the the 8,000-foot level of Mount Whitney.
