• On 15 June 2002, he completed a 10 km swim across Hartwell Lake in South Carolina in 2 hours 53 minutes 54 seconds.
• On 14 July 2007, he completed a crossing of Huntington Bay in New York in 4 hours 40 minutes 55 seconds at the age of 65.
