noun - Dames are the Princesses of the Descenso a Nado de la Ría de Navia, a multi-race open water swimming event held annually in northern Spain. The Queen (Reina) and Princesses (Dames) are selected to serve as ambassadors of the Descenso a Nado de la Ría de Navia and are chosen from the open water swimmers and long-time volunteers who have participated in the annual event.
