Dallas Open Water Swim
The Swim Across America Dallas Open Water Swim (1 mile, 2 miles) is part of the nationwide Swim Across America series on 11 June 2016 in Lake Ray Hubbard in Rockwall, Texas where participants raise money to fight cancer while swimming. Swimmers of all skill levels are welcome to join the event to raise money for the Innovative Clinical Trials Center at the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center. Swimmers can participate as an individual or as a team to honor loved ones who have been affected by cancer.
It is one of America's Top 100 Open Water Swims.

Dallas Aquatic Masters has designed an open water training program to help: Triathlete Swim Training.
Requirements
Each swimmer 18 years and older will be required to raise a minimum of US$500 by the day of the event. Each swimmer 12-17 years old will be required to raise a minimum of US$100 by the day of the event. The US$50 registration fee will apply to each swimmer's individual fundraising goal.
Swimmers & Teams
A person may elect to swim alone, or be part of a team. Many colleagues will form corporate teams or teams may be formed in honor or memory of a loved one. All teams are inspirational and rewarding for those involved with Swim Across America.
Donations
All donations are tax-deductible and proceeds will go to the Innovative Clinical Trials Center at the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center.
Course
There are 1/2-mile, 1-mile, and 2-mile course options. The 2-mile course will consist of doing the 1 mile loop twice.
Wetsuits/Temperature
The water temperature will be taken at Lake Ray Hubbard 4 days before the event. Based on the water temperature, Swim Across America will decide if wetsuits will be allowed.
Venue
The event will be held in the Harbor on Lake Ray Hubbard in Rockwall, Texas.
