Dál Riada Channel

The Dál Riada Channel is between the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland and Ballycastle in Northern Ireland. It is part of the Irish Triple Crown and was first attempted by Mercedes Gleitze in 1928.
History
Wayne Soutter was the first person to complete the Dál Riata Channel Swim from Scotland to Ireland on 26 August 2012 in 12 hours 11 minutes. The first attempt by performed by Mercedes Gleitze in 1928.
