Cristina Teuscher
Cristina Teuscher (born March 12, 1978 in Bronx, New York) is the Robert J.H. Kiphuth Head Coach of Women’s Swimming and Diving at Yale University with Eva Fabian an incoming freshman and Abby Nunn an outgoing senior. She is a former world-class pool swimmer who won a gold medal in the 800m freestyle relay at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games and a bronze medal in the 200m individual medley at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.
A graduate of Columbia University in 2000, she was an All-American and four-time NCAA champion, winning 12 Ivy League titles, set 17 school records, and was named the Honda Award recipient as the 1999-2000 Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year. She later completed her MBA at INSEAD in 2007 and is on the board of directors for the Collegiate Women's Sports Awards.
Teuscher coached at Crimson Aquatics in Boston and was a consultant and coach at the Badger Swim Club in Larchmont, New York. She also served on the 2008 USA Olympic swim coaches six-member selection committee.
As a Columbia University senior, she received the Honda Award as the nation’s top collegiate swimmer and was later honored with the Honda-Broderick Cup as the best collegiate women’s athlete in the United States. Following her graduation from Columbia in 2000, she worked at the Robin Hood Foundation in its 9/11 Relief Effort and had a two-year stint as an analyst with Ziff Brothers Investments.
