Cosmo Kramer

Cosmo Kramer is a fictional character in the American television sitcom Seinfeld. Kramer is known for his enthusiastic advocacy of swimming in New York City's East River. Kramer takes up open-water swimming in Episode 18 of Season 8 ("The Nap"), as seen in the video below.

"The Nap" originally aired in 1997, a year in which 28-year old Tammy van Wisse won the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim in 7 hours, 15 minutes.
