Coronado is a scenic white-sand beach offering tidepools, fire rings, a dog run, surfing, sunbathing and ocean swimming in the city of Coronado, south of San Diego and just north of the USA-Mexican border. It was named as one of the 20 Best Beaches In America by Men's Journal in 2017.

Coronado is site of the Coronado Rough Water Swim that is annually held on 4 July for the past 57 years.
