Corinna Seibt

Corinna Seibt is a pool and open water swimmer with dual citizenship from America and Germany. The Illinois native came out of the famed Hinsdale Central High program and was a 4-time All-American swimmers with 2 Illinois state records who qualified for the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials.
In 1997, Seibt organized a 9-mile relay swim across the San Francisco Bay from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay Bridge as a member of the Olympic Club. Together with Jim Murray, Mike Cooley, and Stephen Grant, and under the guidance of Captain Mike Yost and First Mate Nicole Yost, the quartet of Olympic Club swimmers set a world record of 2 hours 47 minutes.
Seibt also served as the German-language translator for Swimming World Magazine between 1981 and 1986. She volunteered for the U.S. Olympic Committee while translating for the German swimming, water polo, and cycling teams at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
