Colly Brook

From Openwaterpedia

Created By Lynne Roper for Outdoor Swimming Society

Small brook sourced from nearby moorland springs. Chilly, pure, golden Dartmoor water tumbling through ancient woodland. Go to the waterfall (park at Smeardon Down SX522778), walk up the lane and take the footpath to the R across the field into the woods. Scramble down to the brook, and walk upstream to find the waterfall for an invigorating shower, plunge pools and slides. This brook feeds Peter Tavy Coombe, so you could also walk up from there. This would be great spot for slightly older children.
